"The Walk In"

THE WALK IN
FEBRUARY 2016
“The walk in” is the image of your first experience of knowing who your reality is, the most definitive moment that all men wish for, this could be: an award received for good work, this could be the kiss of your first true love; in the authors case it is all with a little more, the experience of realising your empire completed. “The walk in,” it is the moment of perfection, when a purpose is fulfilled, when the dream is realised.
As an entrepreneur your mind takes you to a world not yet created, in many circles it is believed to be dreaming, well this from where I stand makes you a prophet. Not just a seer, but a creator of realities not yet realised and your mission from the moment of seeing what can’t be seen by others, should be to create this reality for yourself and to do this by taking this future reality and creating goals around it that will lead to the achievement of this dream. So from here what your next question should be is what needs to happen before the walk in?
The answer will lie in the plan or mission that will take you to self-realisation.
The most important action one can take is going through the thought process of learning to realise themselves and their true purpose. Many books have been written on what ones true purpose could be, and in the interest of not beginning and argument based on religion or cultural beliefs I state my beliefs as an author in the pages of this article: In my eyes one’s purpose is everything they already know about themselves and choose to fight due its lack of placing in the worlds definition of what one should do with their life. As an example, me writing this article goes against the purpose I once believed I would live. Now, to truly fulfil your purpose, one has step away from the world, all its examples of success and whatever stories you are fed by family, and you first have to learn to accept yourself for who you are.
Whether it may be that you carry the instincts of the Zodiac killer or the prowess of Michael Angelo as the left hand of GOD, no one would know it better than you taking the time to get to know yourself in the deep dark corridors of your mind. Like the Larvae of the fly, or the caterpillar of the butterfly, you need to be isolated from the light of the sun and distractions the world may cause to the inner changes that need to take place. Only then can one really take the time to allow them, the time needed to, take in all the new information they learn about who they are, which will lead to the realisation of ones’ true purpose. Once this purpose has been realised, your next step is to learn how to live up to said purpose.
Time could be separated from the moment of defining the purpose, the strategy of implementing it, the pathway of reaching it and the realisation of said purpose. The origins of latter are laced with the genetic code of all the lessons learnt from the prior act of reaching the last stage. But it is not the prior to realisation actions that matter, but rather the actions that will follow reaching that point. See that
moment defines not only who you are, but the route in life you will take from the moment you start dying(you are aging my friend). What is your choice: a peaceful slumber surrounded by those you love; or a moment where all you have left is a servant to bid you a farewell. The decision taken at that very moment, leads onto the pathway of what the true end goal for you will become, at this moment you can decide to accept that you have reached your purpose and allow your spirit to rest on other activities, or you choose to continue on a path that will only give you more.
Whether it be more money, more power, more enemies, more revenge and most importantly more money. See when a man in business lives without his, “the walk in moment”, he allows his mind to blind itself with the gifts received from all the unending goals. All this character hears in his mind is how with a little bit ‘more’; they would have fulfilled their final goal, but never reaching that point ever.
What I am trying to show you is that life can be simplified with that vision in mind, ‘The Walk in’, that allows you to place a great big mission in your life. For me, this image of a purpose fulfilled, is the image of walking into my own version of Microsoft, Google or Apple. It is the feeling I will get when I walk into the international Head Quarters of an empire I built from creating a solution that will be used the work over. With that in my mind every morning and every night, I am able to say I am living my life with a mission in place. That image of the fulfilment of a purpose is what makes or breaks some, and that is what keeps the ambition of an entrepreneur lit like a candle placed outside in the cold fighting to do what is was created for and give light. For you all that should matter in life is fulfilling your walk in moment. Whether it may be a profit or not-for-profit based dream, your dream should be all that matters, because money follows those who are successful and success comes to those who are good at what they do. So be good at doing you.
Take today as the first day of allowing yourself to find your ‘WALK IN MOMENT’, then follow it to where it takes you.

BUILD YOUR BRAND WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
MARCH 2016

So the other day I walked into a fast food outlet to buy two burgers, after giving me the receipt I popped out of to buy fries elsewhere. 10 minutes later I come back to collect my order only to get an unexpected shock. I approach the lady who is in charge of dispensing orders, and as I stood in front of her waiting to give me my order she gives me a blank stare. Feeling confused, wondering why isn’t she putting my order in a plastic bag and handing it over to me I ask “what’s is it?” She then replies you need to buy a plastic bag. What! My eyes went wide open, “I have to buy a plastic bag!” She went on to say you can buy it at the counter, it’s 50cents. Off I went with 5o cents I hand still baffled that I had to buy a plastic, I mean the least they could have done is factor in a mere 50 cents into the cost price of each meal. This just reeked of poor customer service.
Every time you or a member of your team interacts with a customer/client the type of customer service you have comes out, whether you have a plan or not. According to Investopedia Customer Service is the process of ensuring customer satisfaction with a product or service. Usually customer service is enacted, shown or evident when a business transaction occurs, such as a sale, returning a product, service complaint/query etc.
Customer Service is the process
of ensuring customer satisfaction
with a product or service.
The importance of great customer service extends beyond applications in restaurants and fast food outlets, it can also be applied to service based businesses and other forms of business. Failure to implement a customer service strategy and system can result in customers simply never returning through your doors. Slowly but surely you’ll be seeing less and less customers buying from you, soon after the doors will close for good. As a marketing firm the last thing we want is to see any business fail or close down. The idea may be brilliant but execution is everything.
As an entrepreneur put yourself in the shoes of your customers or clients, would you like to be treated the way your employees treat your customers? Ask yourself the following questions to ascertain if you have good customer service:
1. How long does it take to attend to customers/clients? What is the industry norm and are you better than it?
2. How quickly do you respond to customer/client queries, via personal contact, email, telephone and social media included?
3. What tone of voice, level of friendliness and attentiveness do you employees use when dealing with customers/clients?
4. Does your team have the maturity, calmness, friendliness and patience to handle difficult customers – how thick is their skin?
5. Can certain aspects be automated?
These questions will help you develop a customer service plan that will enhance your businesses functionality and sales. Remember its about creating good customer relationships that will benefit your business in the long term.
Great support is imperative for small businesses, so make sure that your team is ready, willing and able to offer great customer service.
